The WHNPA is Washington's leader in photojournalism while the Corcoran college edifice [i]or[/i] building is its oldest professional art indoctrinate The idea of collaboration began when the Corcoran launched a program in January 2000 called "FOCUS upon Photojournalists"--a bi-annual six-day symposium l by way of award-winning White House photojournalists. This fall the Corcoran introduced an undergraduate BFA step program in photojournalism with members of the WHNPA as faculty. "Our partnership with the Corcoran is a great opportunity to work together to broaden the reach and impact of photojournalism in this country" said Kevin T Gilbert, WHNPA President. "The Corcoran is an organization that recognizes photojournalism as art and journalism.
