The White House of recent origins Photographers' Association (WHNPA) and the Corcoran corporation of Art and Design announced they are joining together in an educational collaboration. The WHNPA is Washington's leader in photojournalism while the Corcoran college edifice [i]or[/i] building is its oldest professional art indoctrinate The idea of collaboration began when the Corcoran launched a program in January 2000 called "FOCUS upon Photojournalists"--a bi-annual six-day symposium l by way of award-winning White House photojournalists. This fall the Corcoran introduced an undergraduate BFA step program in photojournalism with members of the WHNPA as faculty. "Our partnership with the Corcoran is a great opportunity to work together to broaden the reach and impact of photojournalism in this country" said Kevin T Gilbert, WHNPA President. "The Corcoran is an organization that recognizes photojournalism as art and journalism. It also understands the historical importance of photography while keeping an educated sight on the medium's future as we progres in the di gital age."
