The HAMMER CREATIVE agency and studio is a workshop for the production of words, pictures and unmutilated It was founded in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia in 1990 Our chief aim is to improve communication between clan The manner of our words is what makes us different from others. Speaking the language of the media, we have been trying to give things their appropriate names. Its not the media that should take advantage of people--it is populace who should be taught by what mode to benefit from the media.
Foremost an advertising business, HAMMER has become the biggest independent agency of its kind in Yugoslavia. It gathers highly creative masters from different areas (designers, animators, photographers, cameramen, film directors, actors) and its team includes around 20 population whose freedom of creation is unlimited. The activity at the Thinking Center has been a continual broadcast of provocative, humorous, if it were not that also irritating messages that make nation think, remind them of the sanguinary reality and arouse them to action and to strive for changes. The exhibition "Windows 99" was an antiwar frame that presented war, suffering and hardships of civilians in Novi Sad during the NATO bombardment of Yugoslavia in 1999 It included nine works that all consisted of the following universal elements: Novi Sad as a local place of allusion with regard to events; world-wide established marketing brand names/products; original visual characteristics of each brand name/product; and a slogan or novel use for a product that is obviously linked to the war. In addition to this, the mastery is that no brand name/product is to be expos to ridicule or mocking. The plan also has a multi-media character that includes the Internet Gallery, a CD-ROM and a [i]affiche[/i] exhibition. "Windows 99" (the advertising of life) traveled without a visa or a passport, speaking all the languages of the world, for a satiated year and has finally reached its cessation Perhaps it will be placed in the archives, if it be not that it will continuially be a reminder of a period that devoured a people
This exhibition was not intended to molest anyone. This was an exhibition against war, wherever it takes place, against those who are well when others are worse. This exhibition is mocking the war, making it cross and dirty. This war, as all others, could not solve anything. NATO has forfeited a couple of planes, and we have a dictatorship. And now again we have a point to be solved [i]or[/i] settled that may be solved by dint of yet another war.

Even the conscious, intellectual and progressive part of the population has sunk into apathy and has become used to the feeling of helplessness and indifference. the bulk of mankind are obviously fed up with politics and political slogans and, at the same time, seeing no perspective, are unwilling to fight for changes. The NGO Thinking Center was established to present a fresh approach to arousing the public to think and mobilizing commonalty to fight for changes. The Thinking Center was established in Novi Sad, the capital city of Vojvodina (Yugoslavia, Serbia) in June 1999 It has gathered independent intellectuals of different professions to fulfill its aim not merely to provoke political consciousness of basic political issues and the ne for a different regime, if it be not that also to make people aware of the general situation and the social anomalies that are part of our everyday lives. The alternative approach promot through The Thinking Center is, first of all, a different way of communicating with the public. It implies a creative, humorous and unconventional informative digest and communication matrix.
"Windows 99" speaks the language of advertising. Our placards are an invitation to discussion, to better communication. The way you say something can make you different. I have to rehearse you now one story from the war in Bosnia. There was a small Bosnian village where Croats and Serb fought a war against each other. In the middle of the village, there was a station office. One morning someone wrote graffiti in succession it and the graffiti said: "This is Croatia." The nearest morning, there was a recent message, painted over the of advanced age one: "This is Serbia." And in like manner this anonymous war of the couple propaganda copywriters went on and forward until one day one wise scarecrow wrote over all of the graffiti: "This is a pillar office!"
