The just discovered Photography Archives and Research Center established in Rio de Janeiro, houses a collection of nineteenth- and twentieth-century photography. Inaugurated by way of Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS), a non-profit Brazilian cultural institution, the three-story, 600-square-meter center is to one's home to several important photography collections--the Ferrez collection among its most numerous prominent. This collection includes more than 4000 original glass plate negatives and several hundr vintage prints by means of Marc Ferrez. IMS hopes to attract the attention of donors and stimulate interest in research [i]or[/i] part of to the other its archiving work and conservation of these important collections.
