The Edwin Edwin Pres (415 Ridge St Lewiston, NY 14092) pp/$10995 (hb) This is a scholarly examination of the specific works of each writer that that influenced or were influenced by way of the work of the other, including including Carroll's between the walls of the Looking Glass. There exists little documentation of the friendship itself yet Docherty successfully deconstructs the four-decade lengthy game of mythopceia evidenced between the sum of two units bringing their literary allusions to the forefront and making a brawny case for the relationship of the pair bodies of work in question. The thick body ends with an extensive bibliography that includes paragraphs on the critical reception of the couple authors.
